My experience in Mr. Gaston Class

Today we had a great class with Joe Gaston about how to integrate technology in your classroom. First of all we started the class with a experiment, proving how inertia works. We had a lot of fun doing it, below you can see what we did. After that we continued talking about different ways you can integrate technology in your class no matter what subject you teach. We specifically focused on science, math and social studies but basically you can implement technology in anything.

One thing that I learned that was really useful if how he showed us different ways of how use technology in your math class. I loved how one teacher had a smart pad where she could write from wherever she was and the image will be displayed on the smart board that was in front of the classroom. He also showed us a method called "flip" the classroom which was really interesting. This method consists that the students need to see a video explaining the next class lesson, so when they get to the classroom the next day, they go directly to work. This way there is a greater amount of time for a one-on-one communication between the teacher and the students.

Overall I thought that this was a great class which was really helpful for us. Everything I learned today I will clearly implement it in my future teaching, because technology is a something that has become a part of the education. This is a great tool to motivate kids to keep learning, due to the fact that know a days they are surrounded by technology.

Reflexión sobre Sesión de Herramientas Google

Durante la sesión que tuvimos, yo junto con otras dos compañeras le enseñamos a utilizarlas a Beatriz Gómez. Las herramientas las cuales le enseñamos a como usarlas es como compartir un documento utilizando google drive. También le enseñamos como hacer un formulario explicándole la función de cada una de los tipos de preguntas que se pueden hacer. La herramienta de Classroom también fue otra que le enseñamos la cual le gusto mucho ya que dijo que le facilitara las cosas al tenerlas que compartir con sus alumnas. Por último, le enseñamos como utilizar el Blogger haciendo con ella un ejemplo de como crear tu blog y poniendo una entrada.

Lo que yo aprendí fue que al enseñarle a alguien más debes de enfatizar cada uno de los pasos, ya que  para ellos es muy difícil agarrarle la onda a algo que nunca han utilizado. Entonces tu como maestro, debes de tener calma y explicar una y otra vez hasta cuando ya se comprenda a un 100%.

Lo que me gusto fue que pude impartir todos mis conocimientos sobre estas herramientas que la verdad son muy útiles para los maestros de hoy en día. ya que facilitan la comunicación de maestro-alumno. También me gusto porque me ayudo a fortalecer todo lo que ya había aprendido a la hora de enseñárselo a alguien más.

En general nada se nos dificulto, todo lo que nos pregunto la maestra se lo pudimos enseñar y  lo comprendió completamente.
