One thing that I learned that was really useful if how he showed us different ways of how use technology in your math class. I loved how one teacher had a smart pad where she could write from wherever she was and the image will be displayed on the smart board that was in front of the classroom. He also showed us a method called "flip" the classroom which was really interesting. This method consists that the students need to see a video explaining the next class lesson, so when they get to the classroom the next day, they go directly to work. This way there is a greater amount of time for a one-on-one communication between the teacher and the students.
Overall I thought that this was a great class which was really helpful for us. Everything I learned today I will clearly implement it in my future teaching, because technology is a something that has become a part of the education. This is a great tool to motivate kids to keep learning, due to the fact that know a days they are surrounded by technology.

Mostró muchas maneras en las que en la actualidad los profesores pueden enseñarles a sus alumnos, lo cual me parece muy interesante ya que hoy en día la tecnología forma parte de la vida cotidiana de los niños, por lo tanto hará que se diviertan aprendiendo, además les permitirá investigar y conocer nuevos métodos para solucionar problemas por ejemplo en math.
ReplyDeleteEstoy totalmente de acuerdo contigo, hoy en día la tecnología esta muy avanzada donde ya existen muchos programas educativos muy divertidos que los maestros deberían estar utilizando en es sus clases, pues personalmente creo que los alumnos se divierten utilizando estos programas y se ven motivados e interesados en la clase. Del mismo modo también me pareció interesante los videos que nos mostro Joe Gaston sobre los alumnos realizando experimentos de ciencias, donde los alumnos después podían ver lo que hacían en sus casas si les quedaba alguna duda o si se les olvida algo.
ReplyDeleteMaría Elena estoy de acuerdo contigo, la visita de Mr. Joe Gaston fue una experiencia muy beneficiosa para nosotras como futuras maestras, ya que nos enseñó distintas maneras de implementar la tecnología dentro del salón de clases. A mi también me gustó que nos haya enseñado a utilizar la tecnología en diferentes materias (ciencias, matemáticas, y sociales), y me parece muy interesante el concepto de "flip" the classroom, que consiste en que los alumnos aprendan en casa (a través de videos) y trabajen en clase, con el maestro ahí disponible para cualquier duda. Al igual que tu, yo también planeo utilizar la tecnología dentro de mi salón de clases cuando sea maestra, ya que no solamente motiva a los alumnos, sino que también hace que la experiencia de aprendizaje sea más divertida y significativa.
